Navigation & Watchkeeping Refresher

Refresher training to consolidate watchkeeping standards for officers in charge of a navigational watch, including COLREGs, lookout principles, and bridge procedures.

Your seafaring path — Deck Officer

This programme is part of a structured route to a Certificate of Competency (CoC) at sea. Studies can be completed at our Africa campus and/or our Asia campus.

  1. 1. Academic studies

    B.Sc. Nautical Science — navigation, COLREGs, cargo, stability, maritime law.

  2. 2. Mandatory sea service

    We arrange the required onboard cadetship/training berth so you can complete the sea-time IMO/STCW demands.

  3. 3. Verified Officer / Engineer

    Sit OOW oral exams and obtain Class IV Deck Officer CoC. Progress to Chief Officer & Master.

⚓ We provide the mandatory sea service for our enrolled vocational students.

Cadetship berths, training records, and assessor sign-off are arranged through our shipping partners — so you actually finish the path and become a verified Marine Officer or Marine Engineer at sea, not just a graduate on paper.
