Generic ECDIS training equips watchkeeping officers to use Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems for safe navigation, including route planning, monitoring, and integration with other bridge systems.
This programme is part of a structured route to a Certificate of Competency (CoC) at sea. Studies can be completed at our Africa campus and/or our Asia campus.
B.Sc. Nautical Science — navigation, COLREGs, cargo, stability, maritime law.
We arrange the required onboard cadetship/training berth so you can complete the sea-time IMO/STCW demands.
Sit OOW oral exams and obtain Class IV Deck Officer CoC. Progress to Chief Officer & Master.
⚓ We provide the mandatory sea service for our enrolled vocational students.
Cadetship berths, training records, and assessor sign-off are arranged through our shipping partners — so you actually finish the path and become a verified Marine Officer or Marine Engineer at sea, not just a graduate on paper.

Practical ECDIS exercises and written examination.
Generic ECDIS certificate. Type-specific training is required separately for each manufacturer/model.
