BRM develops the non-technical skills the bridge team needs to plan voyages, share situational awareness, and make sound decisions under pressure — drawing on lessons from major maritime incidents.
This programme is part of a structured route to a Certificate of Competency (CoC) at sea. Studies can be completed at our Africa campus and/or our Asia campus.
B.Sc. Nautical Science — navigation, COLREGs, cargo, stability, maritime law.
We arrange the required onboard cadetship/training berth so you can complete the sea-time IMO/STCW demands.
Sit OOW oral exams and obtain Class IV Deck Officer CoC. Progress to Chief Officer & Master.
⚓ We provide the mandatory sea service for our enrolled vocational students.
Cadetship berths, training records, and assessor sign-off are arranged through our shipping partners — so you actually finish the path and become a verified Marine Officer or Marine Engineer at sea, not just a graduate on paper.
Indicative module breakdown — actual delivery is adapted to the audience and operational context.
Simulator-based assessment with peer and instructor debriefing.
Course completion certificate aligned with STCW leadership and teamwork requirements.
