Medical First Aid (MFA)
Medical First Aid (MFA) prepares seafarers to provide immediate medical attention to casualties on board until further medical assistance is available.
Target audience
- Seafarers designated to provide medical first aid on board
Prerequisites
- Elementary First Aid certificate recommended
Apply immediate first aid in case of accident or illness
Use the medical guide for ships and radio medical advice
Manage casualties through to handover
