STCW Basic & Advanced
Medical Care On Board (MCOB)
Medical Care On Board (MCOB) is required for masters and officers taking charge of medical care, going beyond first aid to extended treatment with telemedical advice.
Target audience
- Masters and officers in charge of medical care on board
Prerequisites
- Medical First Aid certificate
Provide medical care to the sick and injured while on board
Participate in coordinated schemes for medical assistance to ships
Administer medication safely
Use telemedical advice services effectively
