STCW Basic & Advanced
Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (PFRB)
PFRB qualifies seafarers to take charge of and operate fast rescue boats, used on offshore and high-risk vessels.
Target audience
- Seafarers nominated as fast rescue boat crew
Prerequisites
- Valid PSCRB certificate
Take charge of a fast rescue boat during and after launch
Handle a fast rescue boat in prevailing weather and sea conditions
Conduct search and rescue and recovery of survivors
